It's a boy!!!

WELCOME LUKE ALLEN NASH

Megan did great yesterday and a healthy baby boy was born at 3:22 p.m. Mom is doing well, but is a little tired. Dad got 90 minutes of sleep last night, so he's off to Starbucks as soon as he is done writing this entry.

We'll post some pictures and videos on our webpage: nashfamilyonline.net in the next few days.

Off to the hospital....

Megan's been up having contractions all night. They are close enough together that the doctor said that we should go into the hospital.

So, it looks like we'll be having this baby very shortly!

Hot weather returns.

It's a hot day here in Harlingen. We're at 90 degrees today. I just got back from walking the dog and we were both ready to get back in the air conditioning after about 2o minutes. Unfortunately, it looks like our stretch of comfortable spring weather (70-80 degrees) is about over and we are in for consistent hot weather for the next 8 months. Thankfully, we'll probably be back in Pennsylvania by August.

This weekend is a busy one, I've got a jury trial on Monday, so I'm inside today preparing for that. It is a DWI case, so my co-counsel, Jeff and I have our work cut out for us. DWI cases are some of the most difficult trials. On the bright side, Megan and I got out to see a movie last night ("Breach") which was very good; it was nice to have some time off from work.

Megan had a doctor's appointment on Thursday. Everything still looks good, although I think we were all thinking we would have a baby by now. Megan's due date is 1 week from today, so this MAY be the week. We are very excited.

New position at DA's Office

Yesterday was my last day at the juvenile section of the DA's Office. I received a promotion, so now I'll be the 1st Chair Prosecutor in one of the County Courts in Brownsville....I'm looking forward to the opportunity. This should allow me to participate in several jury trials over the next few months.

The staff had a going away/baby shower party for Megan and I which was nice. We're still waiting for the baby...should be anytime now....hopefully.

Tonight Megan and our going out to dinner, as we realized that this may be our last weekend where we don't have to worry about a babysitter.

Baby Shower

Today, Megan was back to work and had a baby shower! She and Baby Nash received lots of great gifts! Megan is 36 weeks, so we could have the baby at anytime.

We posted some pictures from Megan's baby shower at work in the gallery section of our webpage, HERE.

Car Seat? Check.

Today we installed the car seat....which was about the most difficult think I've ever done. Who writes these instructions anyway?....their pretty bad.

After the events of this weekend, we may be having the baby a little earlier than expected, so we're doing everything we can to get ready. Mom is doing well...although she'll have to take it easy for the rest of her pregnancy.

All indications that the baby is healthy and doing well.

Birth Class

Today we went to our "birth class" at the hospital. It was a 6 hour crash course meant for husbands who have no idea what to expect about labor, delivery, and caring for a baby. I thought it was very informative, and I think even Megan probably learned something. It is hard to believe that in just a month, we could be having our baby.

Tomorrow, we're having our friends Matt and Katie over for some dinner and then we're all watching the premier of 24 - the best show on television......hands down.

I'll be on the road this coming weekend, so we should have some new video/pictures up on the web page very soon.
