I think we're alone now.......

Daly flew back to Kentucky today, so it is just the 3 of us now.

It has been great having so many people in town to help us around the house and to encourage us. Megan's coworkers have been nice enough to bring us dinner for the next 2 weeks, so that has been a huge help as well. We really have great friends here in Harlingen.

Little Luke slept about 90 minutes last night, so Mom is a little bit tired....other than that we're all doing well. We'll post some more pictures on the website this weekend (and maybe a new video).

Kidney Stones

Joe had a fun week playing the drums during the annual Spiritual Enrichment week at Calvary Christian School.

The Kidney Stones is the name of the band that encourages the kids to live for Jesus.

Our week

We have had a busy week in Harlingen. My friend Daly has been here and has been very helpful. She helped Erin paint our house. This was a wonderful blessing and will help us when we go to sell our house (anyone in the market for a slightly used home??--dogs not included). Luke had a busy week going to the doctor's for the first time and getting his little heel poked for his metabolic screen. He goes back on Monday, but only for a weight check. Luke visited church for the first time today, he enjoyed hearing Daddy play the drums-and slept right through the music and sermon.

We would like to thank all those who view our blog faithfully-especially Justin. We are sorry it isn't updated more often, but we will see what we can do.

Luke's viewpoint

Hi everyone. Luke here. Mom is showing me how to type! I know I am pretty advanced for being only 2 weeks old. My life is good so far. I eat a lot, sleep a lot, and cry a lot. Mom says I dirty a lot of clothes and keep Mom and Dad up at night. I am not sure what night time is yet! I still have my umbilical cord stump so they tell me I can't get a bath yet. They keep coming at me with this wet cloth thing. I scream when it comes near me. Well I best be going, nap time is approaching.

Welcome Daly!

Megan's friend Daly is in town from Kentucky. She'll be staying until the 26th.

She's been a big help so far. We're looking forward to seeing Joe's dad on Monday from Kansas City.

Joe goes back to work on Monday :(

Welcome Grandma Nash!!!

Now that Grandpa Meier has left, we are happy to have Grandma Nash in town from Kansas City. Luke is loving all the attention he is getting..and all the presents!!!

Mom, Luke, and Grandma are going to try to take a trip to Target tomorrow while dad goes into work for a few hours.

Mom is cooking her special 'quiche' tomorrow for dinner, so Joe can't wait for some of his mom's cooking!

We're home!

As of yesterday, we're home!

We had to stay an extra day so Luke could get his blood sugars up, but that was no problem. Mom and dad are both very happy to be out of the hospital and back home. Right now we're trying to catch up on some sleep and getting acclimated to life as parents.

Luke is doing great. He's got a good appetite and loves to sleep. He hasn't been too fussy yet. He's planning on watching some basketball with dad this afternoon.

Grandpa Meier flew back to Pennsylvania this morning, and Grandma Nash will be in for a visit on Monday.

We added some pictures into the gallery section of the web page today from the last 5 days.

It's a boy!!!

WELCOME LUKE ALLEN NASH

Megan did great yesterday and a healthy baby boy was born at 3:22 p.m. Mom is doing well, but is a little tired. Dad got 90 minutes of sleep last night, so he's off to Starbucks as soon as he is done writing this entry.

We'll post some pictures and videos on our webpage: nashfamilyonline.net in the next few days.

Off to the hospital....

Megan's been up having contractions all night. They are close enough together that the doctor said that we should go into the hospital.

So, it looks like we'll be having this baby very shortly!
