Almost 6 years ago, Joe agreed when I told him I felt we were supposed to move to Slippery Rock, Pa. Even though Joe didn't have a job prospect, he figured being close to 5 counties he would be able to find something in the DA office. He soon realized that wasn't going to be the best thing for our family, and worked for a year before he felt led to open up his own office.
In 2008, Joe opened The Nash Law Office. He rented an office, in Slippery Rock. After 3 years, when his lease was up, we started looking at property in Slippery Rock to buy. In August, we finalized buying a building on Main Street. In October, the demolition and construction began. Joe was the mastermind behind the look of the office, he had envisioned the exposed brick and duct work visible along with the wood accents. Our builder, Braden Campbell, was awesome, working long hours and making it look just like Joe envisioned even with the wooden beams as accents.
The past week Joe has been putting in long hours packing and sorting thru everything he had accumulated in three years getting ready for the move. Saturday a bunch of guys assembled for the big move and everything was moved over 1 street in about 2 hours. Then Joe and I put in about 10 hours getting everything put away and looking good to open the doors on Monday morning. Pictures were hung, outside walls were washed and the sign transferred over, books were put away and organized, floors were swept and cleaned.
I am vey thankful for the dream God gave to Joe 4 years ago to start his own practice, and to watch him step out in faith and put the plans in motion to expand that business into what it is today. I am thankful for all the people who helped make this possible and for my wonderful husband.
