Luke has become a talker in the last 2 weeks or so. He used to say a few words, but not tons. All of a sudden he is talking over night repeating everything you said and even saying new words. He is finally saying one of the dogs names.
Pete=Peanut
bow wow=Shadow
He is big into his body parts and we often have to point out NOSE, EYES, and EARS on everyone or every beast, or every stuffed animal we see. We also say NOSE, Eyes, and Ears a lot. He wakes up in the Morning and says MAMA, sometimes it is Dada, but mostly Mama, followed shortly by Milk.
We are practicing our manners with Please and Thank-you. Thank-you is often repeated for Welcome. We are very good at our Hi and Bye as well.
We had to go back to our builder yesterday and pick out new siding. As the old company went out of business. We had picked out a color called Camel before. Well Luke went right in and picked out a blue piece of siding and carried it around with him the whole time we were there saying "blue" over and over again. Unfortunately, Dad is color blinded and didn't like his blue choice, but Mom was pushing for it.
He always wants some type of snack-normally his goldfish or his cookies. He does the opening and closing of his mouth for a fish and says cookie.
He is still into his space men and space shuttle. His next favorite thing is currently his little people garage where he can send cars down the twirly car ramp or up the elevator. We have plenty of cars to keep him occupied.
We keep asking Luke for suggestinos for his baby brother-the only names he knows are Bob (from Bob the builder), Jack (from Jack's Big Music Show), and Josh (we seem to know a lot of people named Josh and he has picked that one up). Unfortunately, we are thrilled on these names as they are very popular so we are still waiting on a name for the new little Nash.
Luke can say his name, it normally comes out "uke" but we understand what he is saying. He also has Ant E down very well (for Aunt Erin). When we talk to her on the computer or see a picture he always says "Ant E". He learned Mimi, and Grandma and Grandpa in Kansas and sometimes says them when we look at pictures as well.
That is all about Luke's word at the moment, we will continue to keep you updated onto his progresss.
