Awake
This is the face of a cute almost 2 yr old who is awake at 1049 at night eating pizza because he fell asleep from 6-7 pm on the way home. He was put to bed at 8 and read books, played, and talked to himself for an hr and a half. Then he joined us and has been running around, jumping, reading books and requesting food!! His comrade Graham fell asleep in the car and is still sleeping! Hoping they don't tag each other, and he wakes up at 11 or 12 ready to play!!!!

Luke graduated!!
It was luke's last day of preschool on Friday! He had a wonderful year! He learned all the sounds of his letters and is reading some simple words. He went to the police station and got fingerprinted!! He decided that perhaps he would be a future lawyer when he grows up. We are very proud of our little man. He is excited about kindergarden but first we have summer vacation!!!

Madison's Room
Uninvited guest
We has our deck restained yesterday. So the dogs and kids aren't allowed on it. So after my shower I took them out front to do their morning duties. I left the door opened in case the boys woke up and came downstairs as Joe was heading towards the shower. At one point I turned and looked back at the house and saw what looked like a hummingbird fly in the door. Thinking my eyes were wring I ignored it ad eventually made our way back to the house, where sure enough the sound of buzzing wings was heard in the bathroom!!! So I got Joe to help the uninvited guest outside while I got 2 out of 3 kids up who were yelling. It finally took a fishing net and a legal pad to capture the flying friend and then get him out the door!! I guess we need to put our feeder up again!!

Mother's day
Well I have had a good mother's day so far. I woke up early with Eli at 5 and got him to go back to sleep. Then Joe let me sleep until 830 as he was preparing breakfast. After breakfast we went to church and came home. Some kids napped, others didn't. We then headed to cranberry to go to olive garden. We were told 1 hr when we got there at 4. So we took our pager and went to Michaels to buy letters to spell out the babies name. Then we headed to Dicks to buy golf balls for the scramble Joe is playing in, in 2 weeks (as Peanut has chewed on all the balls we have and they won't be aerodynamic!) all the while we are away from Olive Garden our little pager is playing an Italian song to let us know we are out of range. So for 45 mins we are hearing this song repeated over and over!!! We make it back to olive garden and I go in to check, and we are next so back to car to get everyone out of the car. Then we had a good dinner with the boys making friends with everyone at near-by tables. Now we are on our way home to the cupcakes the boys made with Joe last night as a dessert surprise!! It was a good day. I am blessed to have 4 wonderful children!!

Brush hog
It would be an understatement to say we have had a little bit of tractor problems this year. Well it isn't the tractor always typically just the one tire on the tractor that always goes flat! Then there is the mower deck that likes to have problems with the blades not turning and spindles burning out.
We have only mowed our grass once but it has needed it a lot! We have pushed mowed areas for the kids to play in more times than not. Finally after Joe thought he got everything replaced And fixed we tried mowing again. After just a quarter of the lawn was mowed the funny sound started again and the spindle was broken.
So our mower deck is at John Deere getting fixed and we bought a brush hog. It is actually a "warthog" per our kids. Joe got it up and running after having to borrow a trailer to bring it home on. It isn't for close mowing but more for field mowing, which we have plenty of!!! But for now it will work for everything!

Car wash
Since the boys woke up they have wanted to wash their cars. We let them this afternoon once it warmed up. They had a great time. Not sure how clean they got their cars but they were soaked.

Eli's room
We decided on a room change. Since we have 3 boys and 1 girl. We decided that she should get her own room and also her own bathroom. I think she will appreciate it in about 10 years or so when she doesn't have to share with 3 older brothers. So we changed the nursery into Eli's big boy room and the guest room will be the nursery.
When Eli was born Erin came home and together we worked on a quilt. We realized after it was done that it fits a double bed ( I guess our measurements were a little off). But it turns out to be perfect as we move the guest bed in there in the hopes of someday getting Eli out if his toddler bed.
We like it an Eli seems to approve at this point. Pictures of the babies room to come later this week, when it gets all done and put together!!
