Trip to SLIPPERY ROCK

Luke took his first ever plane ride last week. Megan, Erin, and Luke all flew to Pennsylvania so that Megan could interview with a couple of Christian Family doctors in Slippery Rock. The interview went great, and we really feel God leading us to start our next ministry with these folks. So in July we will be leaving Texas and heading back to Pennsylvania. Everyone is excited, especially the dogs. Peanut loves to chase leaves here, wait until she sees leaves in PA. We got to see lots of family and some friends while we were back for 3 days.

Happy Easter

My 1st Easter!!!! It was a cold day in Harlingen today, with a temperature of 37!! I read a story with Aunt Erin about Easter. She explained Easter isn't about eggs and baskets, but about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.
Dad went to church 3 times today as he was asked to play the drums. People tell me he is really good. I would tend to agree! Unfortunately, I decided to pull an all nighter last night so Mom and I slept this morning instead of hearing Dad play.
We went to the Leibert's house for lunch and had a nice Easter dinner of Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Cabbage, Green Bean Casserole, and Brownies and Ice Cream for dessert. I of course sampled none of this, but Mom says it was good. Now we are back home, Dad is napping and I am busy typing. Mom is trying to keep me up today, so I will sleep at night. I don't know why she thinks this will work!!!
Other good news is that I have gained weight!!!! As of last night I weighed 7 lbs 12 oz!!!! Praise God I am growing. Happy Easter to you all and remember the real reason for this festive season!!

Let's Go Penn State

Luke was very lucky this week. He received two different Penn State outfits. He is so excited to be able to go to the games with Mom and Dad!!!!!! He even received his first football. At his current weight, he isn't on the road to being a linebacker, but maybe a wide receiver or a kicker!!

Grandparents from PA down for a visit!!!!

Luke had some visitors this week who did some work around the house! They helped to weed the landscape and put in new flowers that are Peanut proof!!! Luke had lots of fun being held and talked to! They also took him to this cool restaurant, his first restaurant experience actually, where they cooked the food right in front of you. He didn't get to sample any, even though Dad wanted him to try some Shrimp (Mom says he won't eat seafood!!!!) Luke also received his first and Easter Basket. He is really excited about the books he got, that share the true meaning of the Easter Story. He has already read them 3-4 times and they are for ages 3 +. I guess he is advanced for his age. Any guesses who the visitors are?

Luke's U.S. Passport experience and an Easter Party!

We had a nice relaxing weekend. I had Friday off of work (it was a Mexican holiday), so I had some more time to take care of things around the house. Because we'll be traveling to Canada in July for Carrie's wedding and then to Papua New Guinea next year to see Erin - Luke needed a passport. Both Megan and I had to be present to get his passport, so my day off was the perfect time to do it. The passport workers said that they had never done an infant passport before, so the picture part was a little awkward. Dad had to hold Luke up against the picture background and try his best to keep his hands out of the passport pictures. We'll see how it turns out.

We also had our annual Easter Party yesterday. All of the families in the family practice residency get together to eat some food, allow the kids to hunt for some eggs, and to spend some time with each other. Unfortunately, Luke was unable to find any Easter Eggs on his own this year. However, we found him an egg - although dad stole the candy out of it.

Expect more pictures and videos on the website soon!
