PUPPY

For 2 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks Luke could have cared less about stuffed animals. Then 2 weeks before his 3rd birthday he was getting all the animals from Graham's room, which he has done a million times, and Joe mentions something about puppy. Well since that time Puppy hardly leaves Luke's side. He goes to church, to the store, even outside if we don't catch him. Puppy has only been handled for about 4 weeks but is already showing signs of aging. Puppy, whose other name is Sher Kon PUPPY, from Jungle Book, is often dragged by his ears places, but doesn't seem to mind!
As far as Sher Kon the name goes, it is the new name for everything from the monkey we see in a book to the baby I am carrying inside me, Sher Kon is the name for everything, even Sher Kon Shadow.

graham and shelves

We started to add more space to our playroom. We put up these shelves yesterday and had a fun time doing it and didn't make too many excess holes in the walls. It keeps Lukes puzzles and crayons up from Graham and also in easy reach of whatever adult is watching him. We are going to add another one in the middle now that we know how they look and that we could use more room!!

Graham our resident sheep has turned into a regular little boy! He started saying dada on thursday which Joe was thrilled with and then on Saturday he started with mama and has given up dada and baa. We are sure he will go back to talking and saying all 3 soon. He has become a squeeler as well, but seems more content while trying to scoot/crawl around the house. He likes to wave his hands in the air to signal being picked up!! He is cute and fun. So far no sounds for luke yet, but it will probably be something like NO, as that is what he hears from Luke as he crawls close to his toys. Luke's new words are "Mom, get Graham back". So sharing is still trying to be accomplished in our house!!

Blue Room, a Sheep, and Sunday School

Some of you may remember from an earlier blog about how you shouldn't leave vicks out on your child's nightstand. Well the result of that little incideent was a blue room with an orange stripe. Luke would go back and forth between wanting a blue room and wanting an orange room, so I did blue and added an orange stripe. I have never done stripes before and know that it isn't exactly perfect and the same size, but it works!
We have a resident sheep in our midst. He is about 2 feet tall, and likes to scoot on his bum and all we hear most of the day is baa, baa, baa. So if anyone knows where Graham went and who replaced him with a sheep please let us know!!!
Once Luke turned 3 he got to go to Sunday school instead of playing in the nursery. So Joe took him for the first time this past week. Luke came back and was telling me that Jesus got hurt and got a bandaid. Then he said that guys came by and didn't help him. I finally realized he was talking about the Good Samaritan story and not Jesus's death. So when we went home and at nap time he wanted to read the story of Jesus getting hurt and then we watched the Veggies Tales of Jesus getting hurt (staring Larry the Cucumber and Junior to his rescue). It was a fun day or watching my little boy understand part of the Bible. What I don't understand is the fact that I read him bible stories all the time and we talk about stories but he doesn't see as interested as he did in this setting. Oh well we will keep teaching him.

Happy 3rd Birthday Luke!!

Today was Luke's 3rd Birthday! He had a special day waking up to Grandma and Grandpa Meier being here. He went and played outside and ate snow and played golf with Grandpa. He helped Mommy decorate his "CARS" cake last night. He talked to Aunt E on the computer and opened up his Space Men from her. He talked to Mimi and enjoyed her stomp rocket. Luke got a Fire House and firetruck. Graham is currently enjoying the firehouse and putting cars in it.
